Rethinking the FEMA trailer, Studio reCOVER (in collaboration with Building Goodness Foundation) designed and detailed a healthier, more cost effective approach to temporary disaster relief housing. The project focused on creating a panelized system for flexible organization and reconfiguration. In-house specialized fabrication prior to deployment allows for easy assembly on-site with the use of basic hand powered tools. Specialized cabinet panels provide basic utilities such as water, electricity, storage and cooking services. The panels can be stored and reused following disassembly.
