The aggregation of parts of the Sears Tower creates a new diagram of the city  in which buildings become both figure as well as ground for the next building.  The Sears tower is deconstructed at the original circulation transfer points (the Sky Lobbies) and then reconstructed by joining corners of the thirty-one smaller pieces.  New outdoor lobbies are formed by interweaving pieces of the broken tower where the ground, circulation and walls are formed by the four surrounding buildings.
